GREY Charles McRae
Charles McRae GREY was born in New Jersey on 23 July 1877. He was the son of Henry GREY (see Addendum). Charles McRae became an engineer and around 1898 joined his father for further developing the GREY rolling mill, invented by his father.
He came to Luxembourg in 1902 and filed a patent application in the UK giving Luxembourg-city as his residence. He is thus to be considered a “Luxembourg resident” inventor.
I, Charles McRae Grey, of Konigsring und Ave. Pescatore, Luxembourg Ville, in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Engineer, do hereby declare the nature of my invention and in what manner the same is to be performed to be particularly described and ascertained in and by the following statement: …
After the death of his father he created his own company by the name of C.M. Grey Mfg. Co. in New Jersey.
Charles died in New Jersey in 1955.
