SEGERS Joseph

Joseph SEGERS was born in 1817 in Luxembourg-city (482 rue Marie Thérèse). His father Louis SEGERS was a cabaretier. His mother’s name was Marguerithe THEATO.
Joseph was married twice, first with Catharina MEDINGER, and later, with Charlotte BORNHEIM. He had a total of twelve children. Three of them emigrated to the USA.
Around 1873 the family moved from Luxembourg-city to Rollingergrund but returned to Luxembourg-city (10 Marie Theresien-Strasse) around 1882.
SEGERS’ occupation was first Fenstermacher, Glashändler and later (around 1880) Kaufmann, Bandagist.
He died in his home in Luxembourg-city in 1890.
