GROSSMANN Max
(1881 - 1953)
Felix Robert Max GROSSMANN was born in 1881 in Guben/Preussen. He came to Luxembourg around 1906 and became Buchhalter in the Differdinger Hütte (Deutsch – Luxemburgische Bergwerks- und Hüttengesellschaft).
In 1907 he married Susanne VAN WERVEKE (b. 1886 in Rumelange), daughter of a Gruben-Director.
Around 1920 he left his job in Differdange and became temporarily Procurist of the IdealLeder in Wiltz before setting up as independent expert-comptable in Luxembourg-city in 1921.
He played an important role in managing the seized Jewish assets during WW II.
In 1944 he formally received his accreditation as Wirtschaftsprüfer in Luxembourg.
Max GROSSMANN died in Luxembourg-city in 1953.
